Personal statement.
Throughout my A levels my interest in the media industries was sparked and built upon, my ever growing interest in the Events industry was developed further when I started my MA in Media and Communications at Birmingham City University. I am a driven and creative individual and I am always keen to learn and build on my existing skills. My skills of organisation will be extremely useful within Events, throughout my employment history I have applied these skills. For example I organised bookings with customers when working at a salon and I organised many activities for the girls at Girl Guiding. Also time management is very vital as everything must be organised and completed for the day of an event, if one detail is out of place it may sacrifice the quality of the event. Also I understand that attention to detail is key so that customers get exactly what they want, I have applied this in my cleaning job as I had to reach high standards. I enjoy expanding my cultural knowledge by travelling and visiting museums/art galleries in my spare time. Photography and reading are also hobbies of mine, capturing a moment and finishing a good book give me a sense of achievement. Finally I believe I am well suited for a role within Events due to the skills I can provide and my passion for the industry. Employment History. Cleaner – Secondary School 2014-2016
